🔹 About the Role

As a Software Engineer at NatWest Digital X, you will work as part of a feature team to engineer and maintain innovative, secure, high-performance software solutions.

You will work across the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment and operations.

🔹 Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining software, scripts and tools

  • Designing, producing, testing and implementing software solutions

  • Building high-quality, secure and robust applications

  • Working across the complete software development lifecycle

  • Collaborating with engineers, architects and business analysts

  • Producing complex and critical software rapidly and efficiently

  • Expert knowledge of at least one programming language:

    • Java 21

    • Node.js

    • Python

  • Ability to effectively use AI coding assistants and agentic IDEs

  • Proactive and self-driven approach

  • Ability to clearly articulate technical thoughts
