About the Role

AutomationEdge is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will be responsible for developing and executing functional, integration, and automated tests to ensure high product quality. The selected candidate will design automation frameworks, execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to deliver reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform both manual and automated testing based on release priorities.

  • Understand business requirements and convert them into real-world test scenarios.

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.

  • Develop automation scripts using Selenium, Page Object Model (POM), and Page Factory.

  • Perform Functional, Integration, System, Performance, and UAT Testing.

  • Conduct API Testing using Postman and JMeter.

  • Execute Cross-Browser and Cross-Platform testing.

  • Work with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Track, report, and verify software defects throughout the defect lifecycle.

  • Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure software quality.

  • Selenium Automation (Java/Python)

  • SDLC & STLC Concepts

  • Functional, Integration, System & UAT Testing

  • API Testing (Postman/JMeter)

  • Performance Testing (JMeter/LoadRunner)

  • HTML, CSS & JavaScript

  • Java Programming

  • SQL Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL)

  • Windows, Linux, Ubuntu & macOS

  • CI/CD Pipelines

  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

Good to Have

  • Python

  • Cloud Infrastructure

  • Browser Extension Testing

  • ITSM Tools (BMC Remedy, Cherwell)

  • RPA Product Testing

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

Candidates with:

  • 4–6 years of Software Testing experience
